Dublin open their EirGrid Leinster under-20 campaign against Westmeath in Kinnegad this evening (7.30pm), bidding to reach an 11th successive provincial final at that grade.

Dublin under-20 boss Ciarán Farrelly believes that several of his players can break into the senior side in time.

Also in the group is Meath, with two teams to qualify for the knockout stages, while there are two other groups of four.When asked whether the players at his disposal can go on to make an impact at senior level, Farrelly said: “I think there's plenty. They have all the right attributes. The biggest attribute that they have is the desire to get there. There is a huge desire within the panel that we have to go on and to be probably the best that they can be.
