No one wants a cold home in the depths of winter, but what should you do if your radiators aren't warming up? A plumber has shared the three easy tricks to fix the issue

When those temperatures dip to single digits, the last thing anyone wants is an ice-cold house in winter. Wondering how to warm your frosty home if your radiators are giving you the cold shoulder?

Plumbing expert Zhelyazko Yanchev, from Fantastic Services, points out there's "plenty of ways to make radiators hotter, and heat up faster, without buying a new boiler and using expensive or specialist tools". He spilled the beans, adding: "Hot water radiator systems are very simple and the problems are likely as simple, too."

After all, hot air needs to play its game of tag with cold air without any obstructions: "That's because radiators work on the principle that hot air rises by natural convection. Cold air is drawn up the radiator at the bottom and rises out warm at the top."As winter draws in, it's crucial to give your radiators a good dust-off to ensure air flows through them with ease.
