Police appeal after man suffers head injuries in 'suspected assault' at Salford park
after a suspected assault in a Salford park. A man in his 40s was taken to hospital from Clarendon Park yesterday .
The man is currently in a stable condition after suffering head injuries, GMP says. Salford CID now wants to hear from witnesses who may have seen what happened, anyone with have dashcam or doorbell footage, and other from residents in the area. Detective Inspector Mike Sharples, of GMP’s Salford district, said: “Our officers in Salford are working tirelessly to understand the series of events after a man in his 40s was potentially assaulted in Clarendon Park. The victim is being supported by our officers and enquiries are still ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.
A woman living close to the scene told the Manchester Evening News she called for an ambulance after spotting the man with a 'really nasty cut' to his temple. She said he was 'conscious but incoherent'.
