Man, 43, and woman, 37, arrested after Irishman Brian Patrick O'Reilly murdered in Malaysia
The body of the man, Brian Patrick O'Reilly, 50, was found tied up and battered with pots and pans as well as stabbed to death.
Now a man, 43, and woman, 37, have been detained for three days as police question them about the murder. The Police Chief said that Mr O'Reilly's body was discovered when a worker in the flat complex came to fix the air conditioning system. "As soon as they knocked on the door, a fair-skinned man walked out, informing them the deceased was unwell and all appointments had to be cancelled."The property manager had tried to contact Mr O'Reilly repeatedly but it failed. On Friday last he called the victim's company in Singapore which advised him to get help from a locksmith to enter the apartment. Mr Che Zaimani said the surveillance camera in the lobby of the condominium showed four men.
