The marked police car had its lights and sirens on at the time of the crash
Merseyside Police confirmed a marked police car had been pursing a white Audi A1 which had failed to stop at the time of the crash. The incident happened at around 9.05pm on Thursday, August 31.
The police car, which had its lights and sirens on, hit a front garden wall on Attlee Road. Officers told the ECHO that nobody was injured during the incident and an investigation remains ongoing.A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We are investigating following a road traffic collision involving a police vehicle in the Huyton area last night, Thursday 31st August. At around 9.
"Nobody was injured during the incident and an investigation into the collision remains ongoing. We are appealing for anyone who saw the Audi being driven in the area of Attlee Road around the time of the collision, or believes they have dashcam footage of the car, to contact us. "Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or contact the Matrix Roads Policing Unit on 777 5747 quoting reference 23000825581."
