Police catch Mercedes driver, 20, going almost 120mph on M6
The car sped past two unmarked police vehicles on the northbound carriageway in the early hours of this morning . It was caught driving at speeds of up to 117mph between junctions 18 and 19.
Officers stopped the car on the A665 slip road towards Manchester. The driver was not insured on the car, police found.They were 'reported for all offences'. A tweet posted by North West Motorway Police this morning said: "This Mercedes sped past two marked Cheshire Motorway Police cars M6 North bound 18 to 19 paced up to 117 mph.
"It was stopped on the A556 exit slip. 20-year-old driver not insured - car recovered and driver reported for all offences #Fatal4."
