Emergency services attempted to stop a Ford Transit van in connection with a number of road traffic offences around 10am in the Glasgow Road area of Wishaw.
The driver failed to stop and fled the scene.
A man was been arrested and charged in connection with a number of offences and is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
