Police say the internal review in July 'identified organisational learning, which has been addressed'
An internal review into the actions of Northamptonshire Police officers as they broke up an unauthorised rave near Corby last June has found there was "no misconduct" in the way the Force chose to respond.
A spokesperson later told NorthantsLive that officers had 'not had a problem' dispersing the crowd. However, the force's social media pages were later flooded with footage of officers pushing the ravers and bashing them with shields, leading some who were present at the event to accuse Northants Police of brutality.
Another attendee, 'G', added: "We complied with the police because it’s not worth the hassle, but even I was grabbed forcefully, my hair was pulled and I was pushed towards the ground. They even tried to hit a 58 -year-old man over the head, luckily I got him away." "I was trying to walk away to the best of my ability but they had pushed me that hard that my glasses smashed," he said. "The only reason I was so slow was because I was trying to find my lens, because I can't see without my glasses.
