A hunt is underway
Police are searching for a gang of 18 people who forced their way into a business in Darwen and stole £90,000 of cigarettes and vapes.
They fled in the direction of Lower Eccleshill Road and left the business 'thousands of pounds out of pocket'. Officers say they are 'taking this incident very seriously' and have launched an appeal to trace the vehicles involved.In a statement, the force said: "Can you help? We are appealing for information and in particular want to trace these three vehicles following a high-value burglary at a premises in Darwen.
"They made off with around £90,000 worth of e-cigarettes and vapes, in the direction of Lower Eccleshill Road. We are now appealing for information about the incident and would like to trace the vehicles in the CCTV images. "We are also asking anybody in the area between 6pm and 6.20pm on May 20th to cast their minds back and let us know if they saw the vehicles, or saw anything suspicious, and to check their dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to see if they have captured anything."
