The driver was identified as George Sadue, 77, of Coventry, Rhode Island, and his passenger, Ethel Toth, 96, of Upper Saddle River.
Police have identified the two people killed Tuesday when the SUV they were traveling in crashed into a tree in Ramsey.
Toth was killed on impact. Sadue was pulled from the SUV, but died a short time later, Lyman said, noting there was no one else in the vehicle and no other injuries.
