Police are asking the public to come forward with information after a suspect(s) tried and failed to steal an ATM this week from a parking lot in Summit County.
According to Akron police, officers were called out around 8:15 a.m. Thursday to West Market Street for vandalism and the attempted theft of a Chase Bank ATM machine.
That’s when officers discovered the suspect had tried to use a chain to pull the ATM from its foundation.Evidence collected on scene is being processed to help investigators catch the suspect.
