A murder investigation is ongoing following the death of 17-year-old Prince Walker-Ayeni
Police patrols have been stepped up in Moss Side as detectives continue to hunt for the killer of 17-year-old Prince Walker-Ayeni. The teenager was stabbed to death in broad daylight in a horror attack on Raby Street on Thursday afternoon.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Dave Fenton said: "We always want our presence to be a reassuring one, but we understand that this visible presence is especially important now more than ever to our local community after the devastating news. We have stepped up local patrols in the area to provide a visible presence in the area.
"We are out and about in the area, we are here to provide support and reassurance to the local community and to reiterate that this kind of violence has no place on our streets, and will not be tolerated." Sgt Fenton added: "We are asking those living around Raby Street to check their CCTV and anything that doesn't seem right or seems suspicious – please contact us. We are also appealing to parents, teachers and neighbours, if you notice anything suspicious. Please let us know."
