Residents have reported a large police presence where the incident took place with forensic officers present. GMP say extra officers will be on patrol in the area while investigations continue. Witnesses are being urged to come forward and contact police with any information. Inspector Steve Corless, of GMP's Salford district, said: “We have authorised stop-and-search powers in response to a number of serious incidents in recent weeks. I would urge members of the public that saw anything suspicious or witnessed the incident to please come forward and report this information to us immediately.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 061 856 5049 quoting log 2564-15/2/2023.
