Further multi-agency searches have been carried out and remain ongoing, including a review of local CCTV and assistance from specialist resources, as officers look to identify and trace the man.

An urgent search of the River Clyde is underway for a man who was reportedly seen 'entering the water'.

Lanarkshire police officers are searching for an individual who was seen in the Bothwell Road area of Hamilton in the early hours on Wednesday, September 11. At around 2.10am today , police received a report of concern for a man possibly entering the River Clyde. Inspector Mark Chivers said: "At this time we ask anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed anything to come forward.
