Detectives launched a major crackdown into drugs crime in Staffordshire, arresting 26 people.
Cops seized almost 1,000 cannabis plants and £80,000-worth of drugs as part of a major crime blitz. Staffordshire Police enforced a huge crackdown across their region.
The force say organised crime gangs often target young adults and vulnerable people, as well as taking over the homes of residents to use them as drug dens - a practice known as 'cuckooing'. "This helped us to identify those causing harm, bring people to justice whilst also stopping four major drug lines operating in Staffordshire. Going forward, with our partners, we are committed to tackling this criminality through targeting the crime groups responsible, ensuring that we continue to protect our most vulnerable and make Staffordshire a safe place for our communities.
