BREAKING: Police update after man left with 'life-changing' injuries in stabbing
A man who was arrested after a stabbing in Failsworth has been released on bail, police have confirmed.
He suffered 'life-changing' injuries to his wrist after being stabbed. on suspicion of section 18 assault.In an update issued this morning, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said he had since been released on bail with conditions. Following the incident, a cordon was set up on Field Street as forensic officers scoured the area for evidence.
Two residents told the M.E.N they were woken by a 'loud bang' and 'screaming' at around 7:30am. "And then there was a lot of really loud shouting," one said. "There was a lot of banging, but we couldn't see anything. Then there was shouting, and then it went quiet.She said the street was a 'close-knit community' and the incident left her worrying about the welfare of her neighbours.
