Scotland's police watchdog is to carry out an investigation into the alleged 'torture murder' of Alan Lawson.
Jordan Honeyman, from Saltcoats, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court after being charged with murder and an attempt to defeat the ends of justice. The 29-year-old was remanded into custody. Following the police probe, both properties were bolted shut, with metal grates placed across the windows of both homes. Terrified residents previously told the Record they were left in shock over Alan’s death. "A number of other parents feel the same way. I’ll be keeping them at home until the police have caught someone." We told previously how murder cops locked down a street in Saltcoats in a manhunt for a suspect connected to Alan’s death.
