The COVID inquiry is now resuming its evidence sessions, and is this week hearing from Boris Johnson's former aides.First up this morning is former deputy cabinet secretary and ethics chief Helen MacNamara .

Under the law, it is an offence to invite support for, or express an opinion or belief that is supportive of, a proscribed organisation. The two women came forward to a police station in south London on Monday after police issued pictures of several people they wanted to speak to following protests in the capital. “They are currently being held in custody under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, at a police station in west London,” the force said. The Met said it was continuing to seek a third woman “seen in social media footage of a pro-Palestine protest in Whitehall on Saturday, 14 October, with an image of a paraglider on her top”
