Ashley Dalton took 62.3% of the vote and Tory Party candidate Mike Prendergast received just 25.4%, which is the first time the Conservative vote has fallen below 30% in the seat since the 1997 general election. Elsewhere, GDP figures are due to be released at 7am. The figures from the Office for National Statistics will look at the final quarter of 2022, and the UK will be in a technical recession if the economy shrank in that time.
