Boris Johnson isn't keen to talk about Sue Gray's investigation today, perhaps unsurprisingly.
Tory MP Nusrat Ghani alleged over the weekend that she was sacked from her role as junior minister in 2020 due to concerns about her Muslim faith. Asked about the issue on BBC radio, Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi said:"On the national insurance, the £36bn is necessary because successive governments... of every colour have not dealt with this.
It is estimated the 1.25% rise will see an employee on £20,000 a year pay an extra £130. Those on £50,000 will pay £505 more.Transport Secretary Grant Shapps will be making a statement later about his new bill for HS2. WhatsApp messages were said to contain photos of people drinking and dancing, while others complained of how hungover they were the next day.
NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg said he welcomed the additional forces, adding the alliance would"continue to take all necessary measures to protect and defend all allies".
