The owners of the restaurant confirmed that the outlet will shut for good this weekend due to 'very challenging trading conditions and cost increases across the board'

A popular South Dublin restaurant has announced that it is closing down this weekend in news that has left customers devastated.

The Dublin couple became obsessed, frying chicken day and night in their small galley kitchen at home in Portobello. But now Sofie and Garret have confirmed that the Terenure branch will close for the final time on Sunday as they thanked their customers for dining with them over the past 21 months. "We’ve had a ball, hosted weddings, birthdays and sold out pop-up events with a team of the best people we have ever met. It’s been a blast, but with very challenging trading conditions and cost increases across the board, we have made the difficult decision to shut."

"You’ll also find us on match day at the Aviva Stadium. We’re upgrading to a larger production facility for our sauce brand so we can continue to share our love of bold, punchy flavour with homes across Ireland, the UK, EU & US. With our sauces now available in over 500 retailers in 21 countries rest assured this won’t be the last you’ll hear from us.
