Reebok and Hasbro are once again teaming up to bring fans an all-new sneaker lineup featuring popular villains of the PowerRangers franchise.
In a recent announcement from the popular apparel company Reebok, a Power Rangers-themed line of sneakers is set to make a return placing focus on the franchise villains. Inspired by the Japanese tokusatsu franchise Super Sentai, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers hit the scene in 1993 to build out Fox Kids programming.
In June 2021, Reebok teamed up with Hasbro to announce their Power Rangers-themed sneakers by unveiling six unique models. The sneakers in the inaugural lineup include one distinct design for the Red Ranger, the Black Ranger, the Blue Ranger, the Pink Ranger, the Yellow Ranger, and Megazord, respectively. Each sneaker design is related to its corresponding Power Ranger and their Zord.
Building on the success of the initial lineup launch in 2021, the new Power Rangers-inspired sneakers will be made available to consumers on March 25, 2022. Along with the launch of the new sneakers, Reebok is introducing five new pieces of apparel, including a Megazord-inspired hooded sweatshirt, a Green Ranger-themed long-sleeved t-shirt, and three t-shirts featuring retro-style arcade graphics. The three graphic tees will showcase both the heroes and villains of the franchise.
The new lineup announcement from Reebok is exciting for lifelong fans of the series from when it first hit the air to the new generation of Power Rangers enthusiasts. Netflix is fully embracing the movement with their development of a Power Rangers Cinematic Universe, in addition to streaming Power Rangers: Dino Fury.
