Wolves have submitted a written resolution which will see all 20 Premier League clubs vote on whether or not to scrap VAR at their annual general meeting next month

Premier League clubs will be given the opportunity to decide whether or not to persevere with VAR next month.

It emerged on Wednesday night that Wolves, one of the club's heavily affected by VAR controversies this term, have tabled a resolution which could see the technology axed ahead of the 2024/25 season. But how will clubs vote? It seems unlikely that any will give much away ahead of the vote, which will take place on June 6. But delving deeper into the statistics around VAR from this season could give us an inkling.

Relegated Sheffield United sit just above them on -4. Then come West Ham on -3 and Crystal Palace and Manchester United, who both sit on -2.Intriguingly, half of the teams in the Premier League are not on a negative score. Indeed, the likes of Fulham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest rank well in the table, as do champions elect Manchester City.
