Coaches want to play everyone at Petco but each is a key league game
The Padres have yet to play a game in Petco Park this spring, but there will be baseball at San Diego’s downtown ballpark starting Monday.
Grossmont Hills League rivals — No. 3-ranked Granite Hills and Grossmont — will be the first game of three days of high school baseball doubleheaders at Petco Park. First pitch each day is 4 p.m.“These are big games for the kids, but they’re also league games,” said St. Augustine coach Craig da Luz. “So you kind of have to balance things. There will be some nerves, so you need to take that into account.
