One of the ‘ugliest buildings’ in the UK can be found in the heart of Preston, according to new unofficial data.Preston Railway Station comes third in the list of ugliest buildings in the UK, after 20.24 per cent of Twitter users unanimously criticised the building’s design in Buildworld’s survey.
The Victorian station is also mentioned in the ‘The Top 10 Eyesore Buildings In The World’, rated as the fifth ugliest building.Builder’s Merchant, Buildworld, created a list of the most commonly ridiculed buildings across the world including the UK and US, that have been referenced through design-themed tweets.They used a sentimental analysis tool – HuggingFace, to determine the percentages of tweets that were negative about each building’s design.
