Priest offers to mediate with both sides of Drogheda gang feud after the death of teen Keane Mulready Woods
A local priest has offered to mediate with both sides of Drogheda gang feud after the gruesome death of a teenage boy.He also said he met with Keane Mulready Woods family on Wednesday and said the brutal attack on the 17-year-old has left them devastated.
When asked if he would be willing to meet with the perpetrators in order to come to some resolution, perhaps through prayer, Fr Magee said: “Oh absolutely if there was an opportunity for that to arise you’d jump on that. “Any mother that has lost a child it’s terrible but in these circumstances you can imagine what it’s like for them, one can’t imagine what it’s like for them. It’s horrific.”
The 17-year-old, from Drogheda in Co Louth, was murdered and his remains dismembered before being left at a number of locations in Dublin. He said: "I want to assure the public and the people of Drogheda that gardai will have all the resources they need."
