RTE Prime Time viewers have been praising a guest on the show from Tuesday night after he told his story of a life-long struggle to cope with the abuse he experienced at the hands of the Christian Brothers.
A 77-year-old former Christian Brother was sentenced to 27 months in prison today, with the final seven months suspended, after being convicted of the abuse of the schoolboy 50 years ago.Mr. Grealish described the judgement as the "end of a 50-year journey to justice for me". “Listening to Paul Grealish telling his heartbreaking story. I am proud of him for going public. I hope it helps save other children from that awful ordeal that his 9 & 10-year-old self went through,” one viewer wrote.“Well done Paul great bravery in what you have done , and finally that monster is where he deserves to be #rtept,” a third added.
