Prime Video's adaptation of Chloe Walsh's bestselling YA books has debuted its first-look images, revealing cast members Nancy Surridge as Shannon Lynch and Conor Sánchez as Johnny Kavanagh. Set in Ireland, the series follows the romance and personal struggles of a rugby star and a shy new student at Tommen College. The images were unveiled during Prime Video's Obsessed Retreat event, alongside a short cast introduction video. The eight‑episode first season will combine the first two novels, Binding 13 and Keeping 13, and features a strong Irish ensemble cast.

The Prime Video series, based on Chloe Walsh’s bestselling book series, has been eagerly awaited by fans since it was confirmed that the Cork-set story would be making its way to television.

Now, the first images from the series have been released, giving fans their first proper glimpse of Nancy Surridge as Shannon Lynch and Conor Sánchez as Johnny Kavanagh. In one of the images, Nancy can be seen sitting on Shannon’s bed as she gazes wistfully out of the window.

Meanwhile, Conor is pictured on the rugby pitch in character as Johnny, holding his jersey following training. For those who haven’t read the books, Boys of Tommen follows the relationship between Johnny, Tommen College’s golden-boy rugby star, and Shannon, the shy new girl at the school. While their romance is at the heart of the story, both teenagers are dealing with difficult circumstances behind closed doors as they navigate life at Tommen College.

The first season will consist of eight episodes and will combine the first two books in the series, Binding 13 and Keeping 13. The first-look images were unveiled at Prime Video’s Obsessed Retreat: Class of ’26, a two-day immersive event held in the Alps in Germany. The cast also introduced themselves in a short video before revealing the first look, with fans quick to share their excitement over finally seeing the characters on screen.

The series boasts a star-studded Irish cast alongside its young leads, with Amy Huberman playing Johnny’s mum Edel Kavanagh, while Eoin Macken and Róisin Gallagher star as Shannon’s parents, Teddy and Marie Lynch. Bono’s son John Hewson is also joining the cast as Gerard Gibson, while James O’Donoghue plays Shannon’s brother Joey Lynch and Sophie McGibbon stars as Aoife Molloy.

The series has been adapted by Poppy Cogan, known for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, with Cork-native Brendan Canty directing.
