EXCLUSIVE: A royal expert has shared that one of George’s jobs as a Page of Honour 'is to make sure his grandfather doesn’t fall' when walking down the Nave of Westminster Abbey
Prince George has been given a major role in his grandfather King Charles' Coronation and will be carrying his "heavy robe", a royal expert has shared.
A Page of Honour is a ceremonial position which requires participation in major ceremonies such as Coronations and on the day will form part of the procession through the Nave of Westminster Abbey. Tess also said: “Apparently Charles has been practising walking in his robe and one of George’s jobs is to make sure his grandfather doesn’t fall."Tessa added: "Those who have key roles will certainly be involved in rehearsals just because it’s about choreography and you don’t want it going wrong and being recorded live."
Tessa went on to say that George's role as a Page of Honour during the King's Coronation is "an unusual role for him". Tessa said: "Charlotte, she’s a bit younger so probably wouldn't be given a concrete role like George but she'll come with the procession, presumably to the entrance of the Abbey as she did I think with her great grandma's funeral.
