This is the first time in history that the grandchildren of a monarch have taken part in the vigil ceremony, per. Harry also wore his military uniform for the first time since 2020, at the special request of his father, King Charles III. On Friday evening, a similar vigil was attended by the queen's four children: King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, all who were dressed in their military uniforms.
The final vigil for the queen comes ahead of her funeral, which will take place Monday at Westminster Abbey in London. Following the service, the queen at Windsor Castle, where her husband of more than 70 years, Prince Philip, lies since his death last year.
