Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are set to welcome their second child in the coming months and the royal couple could look to family names for inspiration
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are excitedly awaiting the arrival of their second little one in early spring.
A close source told Hello! about the thoughtful choice behind Sienna's first name shortly after her birth: "They were looking for an Italian name which started with an S for Sarah, to honour the Duchess , and also reflected the golden rust colour of both the Duchess's hair colour and Beatrice's, which the new baby shares."
While Sienna is indeed a lovely choice, there's speculation that the couple might continue a family naming tradition initiated by Sarah, Duchess of York, and carried on by Princess Eugenie with her sons, August and Ernest Brooksbank. It's yet to be seen if the Princess will follow this trend when her second child arrives this year.
The name August was one of Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert's names. He was christened Franz Albert August Karl Emanuel.
