The head of the Met Police has disclosed that officers are investigating whether prison guards helped Daniel Khalife to escape from Wandsworth prison. The focus of the search today has been on a park in southwest London - close to a flat owned by the terror suspect's family.
Fugitive Daniel Khalife may have jumped in a car two miles from prison, an eyewitness has said.
"If I was pushed further I would have committed crimes beyond that [hurting people]," he told Sky News. Mr Yarris said if he were in Khalife's position, he would use an electric scooter, bicycle or waterway to get to Birmingham or another city in order to better hide the crimes he would need to commit for sustenance, rather than taking his chances at a port.
"So if Daniel's thinking like anyone else he is trying to get out of London and get to somewhere he can get the resources."
