Tommy Robinson has reportedly been detained under anti-terrorism legislation
Mr Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon, has been detained under anti-terrorism legislation, according to his supporters. The news of his arrest was made public via a post on his verified X account.
A growing crowd of around 70 people have gathered outside Downing Street, protesting his reported arrest. There appeared to be several teenage boys shouting “oh, Tommy Robinson” as more than 20 police officers gathered around the crowd, according to PA. Four protesters held a several-metre long printed banner that had a photo of Robinson with tape over his mouth and “#freetommy” beneath. Several said they did not know where Robinson was arrested.
