A 70-year-old man was seriously injured after being shot and assaulted by a group of masked men in his own home in the Ballgallin Park area of Coleraine. The PSNI are appealing for witnesses and information following the attack, which has left the local community shocked and fearful.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland ( PSNI ) has issued a warning against vigilantism following a violent incident in the Ballgallin Park area of Coleraine . On Thursday evening, a group of men wearing balaclavas entered a house and assaulted a 70-year-old man. The victim was taken to the hospital where it was revealed he had sustained gunshot wounds to his arms and legs, as well as injuries to his head and torso. PSNI detectives are appealing for information from the public.
