A man appeared before the court charged with a spate of burglaries and motoring offences
PSNI officers were allegedly kicked and bitten during the arrest of a suspected burglar, a court heard on Saturday.
Dungannon Magistrates Court heard on Saturday that Doherty then allegedly entered a property at Clonmeen Drive in Strathfoyle as a trespasser and stole £140 cash before entering another property, at Bawnmore Place, also in Strathfoyle, where a bottle of gin and a Firmus gas card were taken. Further reports then came in of the numerous other burglaries which officers attended and viewed CCTV footage. Meanwhile members of the public reported seeing the Volkswagen being driven dangerously and mounting the pavement, the court was told.
