Mr Callinan said the additional working hours which were put in place for public service personnel in 2013 were worth “about 6 per cent in rough figures”. If the additional working hours are not reversed, it is inevitable that unions would lodge productivity claims, he added.
Forsa indicated it would seek talks on reducing the working hours for State employees back to pre-crisis levels as part of a mid-term review of the existing public service agreement with the Government.
