The third of eight public town hall meetings focused on redistricting Dallas will take place this week.that determine the City Council districts, which the city charter requires to take place every 10 years. Along with public input, a 15-member redistricting commission appointed by the mayor and the council will be used to develop a proposed plan.
This week’s meeting will be 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Beckley Saner Recreation Center, 2750 Bachman Drive. Five more will follow in January and February. All of the town halls, with the exception of the final meeting scheduled for Feb. 10, are strictly in-person. The city said “masks are strongly encouraged and social distancing will be practiced.”The remaining town halls will take place:Jan. 22: 3:30-6:30 p.m., Pleasant Oaks Recreation Center, 8701 Greenmound Ave.Feb. 5: 3:30-6:30 p.m.
