The activity in a Junior Cert SPHE book received backlash after its depiction of an Irish family who did not embrace change or diversity
A schoolbook publisher has apologised for an activity in their Junior Cycle SPHE book and has "taken the decision" to replace the content.

After reading this section, students were asked to name any advantages and disadvantages of being part of Family A. Following a backlash surrounding the depiction of Family A in the book, the publishers decided to pull the activity and apologised for "any hurt caused" from the book.
