VLADIMIR PUTIN has been humiliated by reports that seven 'busloads' of Russian soldiers have been evacuated from Chernobyl to a medical facility in Belarus with 'radiation poisoning'.
troops became sick after digging trenches inside the radiation-contaminated “Red Forest” that lies within the Chernobyl exclusion zone. The energy firm said that the Russian soldiers “panicked at the first sign of illness”, which “showed up very quickly” — suggesting that this prompted their departure. These claims have also been made by Ukraine’s deputy prime minister, Iryna Vereshchuk — although independent verification is still pending.
