VLADIMIR PUTIN has 'massively misjudged' the capabilities of his military, the resolve of the Ukrainian people and the strength of the West's response to his invasion, a British spy chief has said while outlining the blunders made by the Russian leader.
“It’s become his personal war, with the cost being paid by innocent people in Ukraine and, increasingly, by ordinary Russians too.”Earlier, US officials made a similar point, arguing Putin was being misled by advisers who were too scared to tell him how poorly the war in Ukraine is going and how damaging Western sanctions have been.
