BREAKING: Queen's children unite in grief at moving vigil for late monarch
King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward came together this evening, Friday 16 September, to pay tribute to their mother.
Upon their arrival, The King, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex mounted guard at the four corners of the catafalque in Westminster Hall. The Duke of York hasn’t been allowed to wear uniform for any of the other services for the Queen. His nephew, Prince Harry, hasn’t been able to either, but has also been granted special permission to wear one tomorrow as the late monarch’s eight grandchildren come together for their own vigil.
Tomorrow evening The Prince of Wales will stand at the head of the Queen’s coffin during the vigil, with the Duke of Sussex at the foot.
