The Grand National-winning rider has not been in action since injuring her neck in a fall in September but is aiming to return during the week before Christmas
History-making jockey Rachael Blackmore has learned of plans for a new ‘state of the art’ rehab facility as she continues recovering from her own injury.
The historic achievement led to her being chosen as the BBC World Sports Personality of the Year at the end of the year. Wearing a supporting neck brace, Blackmore reveals her past injuries include fractures of her collarbone, nose, wrist, hip and ankle. “It’s been great to see the difference the Serial Winners’ Fund is going to make,” Blackmore said. “The facility is in its infancy and has huge potential to help jockeys.”
