The Scottish Social Services Council found that Audrey Haswell showed a 'pattern of behaviour of making racist, threatening and derogatory comments to service users and colleagues'.
A 'racist' Scots carer has been struck off after mocking a vulnerable OAP’s accent and threatening to 'batter' another. Audrey Haswell was also found to have deliberately sprayed water in the face of a third pensioner while laughing at them.
Between April and October, Haswell was seen mocking a resident by attempting to imitate her accent and saying "nonsensical words". She also stated: "I don’t speak Punjabi or Hindu." The following month, she insulted a fellow worker with a snide comment about her weight. After spotting her putting her food away, she said to another colleague: “It’s a salad she needs, you seen the size of her.”
"Your behaviour also put AA at risk of physical harm because this could make them fearful to request help with personal care and put their health and wellbeing at risk. "You have made a number of derogatory statements to your colleagues XX, YY and ZZ. Some of these comments have been made in front of residents and their family members.
