The pilot of an Indian flight has reported a ‘bomb threat’ as it approached London’s Heathrow Airport.

He can be heard in a recording saying: ‘There is a suspected bomb on board, requesting landing sir. We have a bomb threat. Air India 129 is requesting this.
’ Indian airlines have this month received a spate of threats to domestic and international flights on social media, all of which have turned out to be hoaxes. A teenager has been arrested over the bogus calls. At least 19 flights have been the subject of hoax bomb threats this week alone, leading to diversions and long delays, the BBC reports. On Tuesday, Singapore’s Air Force dispatched two fighter jets to escort an Air India Express plane following one such call.
