Cam Akers wasn’t supposed to be here right now. At least not on the Los Angeles Rams’ active roster. The second-year running back tore his Achilles tendon while working out in July.

“There's no reason to be down, depressed and upset,” Akers said."Obviously, you have days where you feel sad and there's no reason to stay like that. You've got to catch yourself and continue to work.” “It was probably like three months when I knew it was a possibility,” he said. “That’s when I would say I knew I was working to come back for this season."
