The Rangers legend has questioned the loyalty of the Celtic boss.
The Hoops boss is back at Parkhead for a second spell in charge and replaced Ange Postecoglou after the Australian jumped ship to Tottenham Hotspur last Summer.
His return to the club last summer came with mixed emotions, with many supporters not ready to forgive the 51-year-old over the way he left first time around. He's started to repair those relationships with a successful season on the park and another Champions League adventure heading for Glasgow's east end next season.
McCoist told talkSPORT: "There is an element of me that thinks Brendan will want to move on again. I genuinely believe that. Of course he's had a very successful season winning a league and cup double. Goes without saying. And his CV once again is back up there.
