A Glasgow MSP is calling for a historic city centre building to be saved from demolition and transformed into a hotel.

Paul Sweeney first called for 11 Oswald Street, which dates back to around 1844, to be protected in 2020 when the initial proposals were made to Glasgow City Council.In October 2020 he took to Twitter to vent about the proposal. Now, the Labour MSP has asked for public support in saving the building, with objections able to be issued to the local authority until this Friday.
