A recall has been issued for a children’s car cushion sold at Homestore + More as the product cannot be used as a safety restraint. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission warned that Homestore + More was carrying out a recall of Kids H-shaped car cushions available in Princess, Dino and Grey colours.
The product is not a safety restraint and should not be used. There are approximately 56 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The brand is Nicole Day. Meanwhile, a recall has been issued for a children’s teddy sold on Temu that presents a choking and suffocation hazard. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission warned that a safety issue was identified with a Realistic Husky Dog Stuffed Toy sold by a third-party seller on the Temu platform. The product presents a risk of choking and suffocation to children. The toy dog has a small part that can easily detach. Small children may put it in the mouth and choke. Moreover, the plastic bag of the packaging is too thin. If a child plays with the packaging, the plastic can cover the mouth and nose, causing the child to suffocate.
