Red Bull endured another frustrating race in Baku on Sunday, leading Christian Horner to conduct what he described as a 'post-mortem' ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix

Red Bull have cancelled plans to give their cars a special livery at the Singapore Grand Prix due to performance concerns.

Three-time world champion Verstappen only managed P5 after being overtaken by drivers' championship rival Lando Norris while Perez crashed out on the penultimate lap as he pushed for a podium place alongside Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz. The pair's combined woes resulted in McLaren moving top of the constructors' championship standings for the first time in 2024.

In a statement released on Wednesday morning, the team said: "Unfortunately when we came to the testing phase of what some REBL CUSTMS designs could look like, in real life, on the RB20, we found the paint used to create these bespoke full car takeover liveries added unforeseen and undue weight to the bodywork of the RB20.

Although Marina Bay proved to be Red Bull's most difficult track last season, team principal Christian Horner is hoping that Verstappen and Perez will come away from this weekend much happier. Horner anticipated a 'big post-mortem' into their ongoing troubles, acknowledging that Red Bull 'need to understand' the issues that the RB20 is facing, despite bringing upgrades to Baku.
