Red Bull have an abundance of good races on the books, too many to give them all F1 race seats for next year, but still they won't be letting any of them go without a fight

Helmut Marko warned Aston Martin they will have to pay up if they want to prise Yuki Tsunoda away from the Red Bull set-up.

Daniel Ricciardo was also handed a contract extension, meaning Liam Lawson will remain a reserve driver despite an impressive F1 debut as a stand-in for the injured Aussie. But, despite having an abundance of talent, Red Bull have no intention of letting any of it slip through their fingers unwillingly.

Honda's racing chief Koji Watanabe has made it clear he would look favourably on an Aston Martin swoop for Tsunoda in the future. Currently, there is no space at the team with veteran Fernando Alonso still delivering the goods and Lance Stroll also on the books. Tsunoda may be high on the list of potential new signings should a vacancy arise at Aston Martin. But, if that happens while the 23-year-old is still under contract with Red Bull, Marko has made it clear financial compensation would be needed.
